A very special workshop in conjunction with concert on August 12th to commemorate the 70th anniversary  of the “Night of the Murdered Poets” (August 12, 1952;  see Wikipedia)

Poems by Peretz Markish, David Holstein, Leib Kvitko and others are the starting point of this workshop that explores setting Yiddish poetry to music. Led by an extraordinary artistic team with expertise in composing, arranging and performing Yiddish Song, new works created here will be performed as part of the concert on August 12. The workshop is open to vocalists and instrumentalists, composers, arrangers, songwriters and lyricists. Come join in a unique process of creation and reflection!
